Description
Clifford Harris Nash was one of the spiritual giants of this century in Australia.
From days of adversity when his life stood the test of fire, rejected for some years by the church he loved, then supported by a group of Melbourne Christian businessmen, he became founding Principal of the Melbourne Bible Institute (now the Bible College of Victoria).
There could be no humbler beginning to a re-established ministry than the one student and open Bible he had before him when MBI started. But God planned for his strong evangelical faith to impact thousands of lives in convention, church and Bible college ministries. His was a heart filled with the love of Christ and the redemption of men and women through the global ministries he headed.
Recounting his eventful history, he said, 'Failure can never be final... in the rich providence of God, failure can be transmuted into the best lessons God can give us.'
This is a carefully researched and well-documented biography of a profoundly influential and dominant figure in evangelical life in Australia and particularly in Melbourne. Dr Paproth has provided a spiritual and scholarly account of this remarkable, God-anointed man that will inform and inspire.
Will F. Renshaw, President, Bible College of Victoria (1985-1997)
