Description
For twenty years, with two furloughs, Isobel Kuhn and her husband were among the Lisu tribe in south-west China. Because of the Communist occupation they left China in 1950 and entered Thailand in 1952 to work again among the Lisu there. Ill-health brought her home for surgery in 1954, when she began to write "Ascent to the Tribes" and other books. Her death took place on March 20, 1957.
